Mark Jolink studeerde Bioprocestechnologie aan de Wageningen Universiteit en is sinds 2010 aan EP&C verbonden als octrooigemachtigde. Na zijn studie deed hij promotieonderzoek aan de Radboud Universiteit op het gebied van innovatiemanagement, waarbij hij zich specifiek concentreerde op de voedingsmiddelenindustrie. 

Mark is breed geïnteresseerd in technologie en wetenschap, probeert dingen uiteen te rafelen om tot de kern te komen en laat zich niet snel van de wijs brengen. “Ik ben het laboratorium uitgegaan om me zowel inhoudelijk als strategisch bezig te houden met uitvindingen. Als octrooigemachtigde haal je samen met de cliënt het optimale uit de technische, juridische en strategische mogelijkheden om het nieuwe product breed te beschermen tegen namaak. Zo creëren we ondernemingsruimte en kan de cliënt van zijn uitvinding een innovatie maken.”

Career:

Before joining EP&C as a patent attorney in 2010, Mark Jolink studied Bioprocess Engineering at Wageningen University. Upon completing his studies, he conducted research for his dissertation at Radboud University in the field of innovation management, focusing specifically on the food manufacturing sector.

Mark is interested in technology and science in general. He has an analytical mind, likes to get to the crux of the matter and is not easily fazed. “I wanted to leave lab work behind me so that I could get involved with inventions on both the strategic and the technical level. As a patent attorney it’s my role to work closely with the client to make optimum use of all of the technical, legal and strategic possibilities to prevent a new product from being copied. By doing this, we create room for the business of our clients so that their inventions can be turned into innovations.” /span>
