Holger Seitz studeerde elektrotechniek aan de TU in Delft, en is sinds 2000 aan EP&C verbonden als octrooigemachtigde. Daarvoor was hij onder andere design engineer in de defensie en ruimtevaartindustrie (Delft Instruments), en productmanager in de telecommunicatie-industrie (Ericsson).

Holger is grondig, vasthoudend, bedachtzaam en recht door zee. “Octrooi heeft alles te maken met de techniek, de marktpositie, de commercie en de strategie van een bedrijf. Die verbanden moet je als gemachtigde zien en begrijpen. Net als de menselijke verhalen die overal achter zitten. Want uiteindelijk is ons werk puur mensenwerk.”

Holger Seitz studied mechanical engineering at the TU in Delft, the Netherlands, and has been a patent attorney with EP&C since 2000. Previously he was a design engineer in the defense and aerospace industry (Delft Instruments), and a product manager in the telecom industry (Ericsson), among other things.

Holger is thorough, tenacious, cautious and straightforward. “Patents have everything to do with engineering, market position, commerce and a company’s strategy. As a patent attorney you must see and understand how they relate to each other. You also have to understand the human stories behind all of this. When all is said and done, the work we do is human work.”
