Hendrik Jan Brookhuis studeerde werktuigbouwkunde in Enschede en is sinds 1991 aan EP&C verbonden als octrooigemachtigde. Hij is intensief betrokken bij de ontwikkeling van producten door zijn cliënten. Ook treedt hij veelvuldig op bij rechtzaken, opposities en andere juridische procedures in binnen- en buitenland.

Als gastdocent doceert hij octrooirecht aan de TU in Eindhoven. Daarnaast is hij lid van het executive committee van de FICPI (de internationale organisatie van octrooigemachtigden). In het kader van het wereldwijde netwerk van EP&C is Hendrik Jan verantwoordelijk voor de contacten in Canada en Noord-Amerika.

Hendrik Jan is snel van begrip, kritisch, optimistisch en betrouwbaar. “Onze cliënten investeren in hun toekomst. Daarom kunnen wij niet kritisch en zorgvuldig genoeg zijn. Career:

Hendrik Jan Brookhuis studied mechanical engineering in Enschede, the Netherlands, and has been a patent attorney with EP&C since 1991. He is intensely involved in the development of his clients’ products, and he frequently defends his clients’ interests in court cases, appeals and other legal proceedings both at home and abroad.

He is a visiting lecturer of patent law at the TU (technological university) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He is also a member of the executive committee of the FICPI (international organization of patent attorneys). Within EP&C’s global network, Hendrik Jan is responsible for Canada and North America.

Hendrik Jan is quick-witted, critical, optimistic and reliable. “Our clients are investing in their future, so we can never be critical or careful enough.
